ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
- Assist Camp Directors with day-to-day administrative functions
- Help coordinate registration and departure of campers
- Coordinates and organize all staff arrival and departure
- Coordinates meals for staff during staff training and debrief
- Oversees transportation for campers that must leave campus during camp
AFTERNOON PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- Plans afternoon activities for campers involving sports, arts, dance, etc.
- Brainstorms new and exciting activities to bring to camp
- Places orders for any new equipment needed for afternoon program before camp
- Trains and supervises counselors in the execution of all activities
- Oversees camper and staff sign-ups for activities each day
- Sets up and cleans up equipment for the activities each afternoon program
- Maintains organized inventory of all equipment
- Spearheads the development of the “Camp Catanese Olympics” each year!
ARTS & CRAFTS COORDINATOR
- Develops and coordinates 6 new and innovative craft activities prior to arrival at camp
- Places orders for equipment needed for each craft before camp
- Provides instruction to the counselors on how each craft is done
- Supervises afternoon program counselors and campers in execution of arts and crafts
CHALLENGE COURSE COORDINATOR
- Must have certified experience/training in challenge course facilitation
- Trains the facilitators on how to run team-building and challenge activities
- Supervises a team of facilitators while they lead the daily challenge course activities
- Brainstorms new team-building and challenge activities to bring to camp
COLLEGE RESOURCE COORDINATOR
- Creates and executes a college and career resource fair for campers
- Identifies additional scholarship opportunities and resources for campers
- Works with morning program coordinator to create additional opportunities for juniors and seniors to access college application information and resources
- Organizes college panels
- Assists with coordination of Graduation program
- Plans the morning sessions allocated for College Resource throughout the week
- Lives with/cares for 6-10 campers (ages 13-18) to ensure well-being and safety
- Embodies the roles of big brother/sister, teacher, coach, friend, and mentor
- Encourages the personal and educational growth of the campers
- Serves on either Morning, Afternoon, or Challenge Course program staff and works daily under the supervision of the respective program coordinator
- Reports to head counselors and the leadership team to plan and provide X, Y, and Z throughout the week (cabin times, connecting them to resources relative to fields they are interested in, join campers in attending college resource programming etc.)
EVENING PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- Develops and organizes seven fun evening activities for each night of camp
- Instructs counselors on how to implement the activities for each night
- Places orders for equipment needed for each evening program before camp
- Ensures evening programs are 100% inclusive of all campers
- Works with ASU/Liaison to ensure permitting & compliance
HEAD COUNSELORS
- Responsible for planning components of Staff Training Week and ongoing counselor education throughout the camping session
- Handle camper issues brought by counselors and supervise counselors and campers throughout the day
- Nightly check-ins with counselors and staff members
- Help plan and organize staff debrief
- Offer insightful feedback to counselors
SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
- Posts content on the Camp Catanese social media pages
- Works with staff members to create social media posts to build hype for camp
- Works alongside the media team leading up to and throughout camp
- Post intentional and well designed social media stories throughout the week
- Works alongside the photographer to identify select photos from each day to be used in a dedicated post alongside an in-depth caption of the day’s activities
- Will also contribute in the role of a volunteer and help out with program set up & break down, gimme shop, and other responsibilities to help camp run smoothly
MEDICAL TEAM*
- Maintains and organizes operation of the Medical Center
- Manages medication disbursement for campers
- Cares for campers in the event of injury
- Organizes inventory of medical supplies and camper medical documentation
- Must be a registered medical professional to apply*
MORNING PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- Works with morning program counselors to plan the STEAM, career, and college preparatory lessons throughout the weeks leading up to summer camp
- Works alongside morning program counselors to create and prepare printed materials ahead of camp - ie lesson plans, handouts, etc.
- Trains counselors on effective teaching techniques and ensure that each class is well prepared to execute their class by the first day of summer camp
- Spearhead the creation of the Master Schedule for the week involving class rotations, classroom assignments, and challenge course scheduling
- Audits inventory of existing supplies and identifies needs for new supplies needed for each class
- Supervises counselors in the execution of the morning program each day
- Captures, edits, and posts pictures on the camp website each day
- Work alongside Social Media Coordinator to identify the “best of” photos for each day to be shared on our social media pages
- Orders and distributes cabin photos
- Coordinates with media team to ensure maximum coverage
- Photographs graduate campers’ headshots
PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- Oversees all programs
- Orders and maintains inventory of all program supplies
- Helps schedule and plan training opportunities for program coordinators during staff training for counselors
- Leads regular program coordinator meetings
- Ensures timeliness & announces any program timing changes
VIDEOGRAPHER
- Films and edits highlights of the camp experience
- Creates nostalgic camp video to be viewed on the final night of camp
VIDEOGRAPHER ASSISTANT
- Works with the camp videographer to film and edit the camp video
- Works alongside full time staff to aid in the creation of promotional videos for the Camp Catanese Foundation to be used for year round purposes
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
- Helps organize transportation of campers to summer school/mandatory programs
- Oversees the involvement and responsibility distribution of all volunteers throughout the duration of summer camp
- Oversees Gimme Shop organization
- Oversees Camp Store organization
- Oversees set up or break down of daily activities
- Orders and maintains inventory of snack items
- Oversees Evening Program snacks
- Plans birthdays of campers and staff
VOLUNTEER
- Helps run the daily Gimme Shop during Staff Meeting
- Helps with the transportation of campers to summer school or mandatory programs
- Assists program coordinators with set up or break down of daily activities
- Does whatever is necessary to ensure camp runs smoothly! :)
